Force Information Systems Ltd is pleased to announce the release of Centurion England & Wales version 7.7.0. This release delivers the Suspension Legislation Changes 2026, together with targeted fault fixes focused on database stability and data accuracy.
Legislative Compliance
Version 7.7.0 introduces the changes needed to record suspensions under the 2026 suspension legislation. A new suspension type, “Not Suspended Exc. Circs.”, records that an officer or member of staff has not been suspended because exceptional circumstances apply. Moreover, suspended records now include a new “2026 Leg. Req.” field that records which 2026 legislative requirements apply. For guidance about the legislation changes, users are encouraged to refer to the User Release Notes, published to the members area.
Reporting
The Suspensions, Restricted Duties and Alternative Duties report now includes a new 2026 Legal Requirement column. Entries recorded as “Not Suspended Exc. Circs.” are left out of the report.
Stability and Reliability
This release makes important improvements to database stability, especially at larger sites. Centurion now releases database locks reliably when an error occurs or a prompt is displayed during a save, so other users are no longer blocked for long periods. It no longer freezes the application, and error messages now show the real cause of a failure, which makes problems easier to diagnose.
We encourage all Centurion users to upgrade to version 7.7.0 to take advantage of these improvements and maintain compliance with legislative changes.
