Centurion awareness days

On the 22nd in Manchester and the 28th of June in London, Force Information Systems hosted events aimed at helping to improve practitioner’s knowledge of Centurion. Both days were very well attended by participants from most police forces. Maria Lewis covered a variety of topics on Workflow such as document management, the management of document templating and tasking within progress and investigation areas of Centurion. She then went on to explain the key features of investigations and the uses of email integration.

After lunch, Carolyn McCutcheon continued the seminar by explaining the way Centurion interacts with products such as MS Office, Crystal Reports and how these products complement one another. She also went on to talk about legislative changes and future upcoming developments within Centurion. Carol also covered a session entitled ‘Did you Know?’ which covered a variety of useful options that practitioners might find useful in their day to day use of Centurion.Whilst questions were taken and answered during each session there was an additional session where the audience was able to ask questions about any feature within Centurion. This segment was a great success as it allowed a variety of questions to be raised both relating to technical and practical matters.From the feedback received so far, it is clear the participants enjoyed the day and felt that they had learnt some valuable information that they could potentially put into practice within their respective departments. FIS will look to host similar events in the future.
